Lets bait the hook

Postby tyronegenade » Wed May 12, 2010 9:36 am

Hi all,

How exciting: an e-Killinews with cheaper foreign membership (though I still like paper as I can lie in bed and read KN).

Is there any advertisement campaign planned? Notices sent out to other associations?

I think we really need to put some effort to ensure the next few KN are extra good so we can get more people signing on. What most people want, particularly in the US, is species accounts: how to keep and breed a particular species. It would be great if as many of us as possible could write a short account of one or another species which they have kept or are keeping or on one or another topics (plants, foods, feeding etc). Even if it is one or two pages. One big article with several smaller ones is great! People like variety. I was disappointed with the latest JAKA special issue as it only had 3 articles and the one big one was largely useless to killikeepers.

Kind regards
Tyrone

That's what I want as well, Tyrone! We've got one coming up in the next issue, though it's about one of the less commonly seen Fundulopanchax species.
